2009 marks the 29th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival, thanks to the dedication and commitment of the many volunteers that comprise the Irish Congress of Southern California (ICSC), the support of the Irish community, and that of our sponsors.
The ICSC is a non-profit organization, serving the San Diego region since 1981. Our mission is to promote public appreciation and knowledge of Irish history and culture. To accomplish this, we are proud to host the annual Miss Colleen Pageant and Dinner in addition to our main event, the St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival. These significant events serve as a vehicle to entertain, inspire, educate, and create awareness of important community programs and services available in the greater San Diego area.
This year's theme is
Celebrating Children's Services:
Adoption - Fostering - Mentoring
In 2009, we had more than 160 parade entries and over 135,000 fun folks attending, making it one of the largest single-day events in San Diego.
